Inspired by the Zodiac Mohurs commissioned by Mughal Emperor Jahangir in the early 17th century, the Octavia Zodiac Medallion draws on a remarkable moment when the twelve signs of the zodiac appeared on imperial gold coins.

Representing the water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio, each zodiac is hand-carved in reverse into natural lapis lazuli by an expert stone carver, preserving the centuries-old craft of intaglio. When pressed into wax, the carving leaves a positive impression of the zodiac, revealing the image as it was intended to be seen.

The carnelian is held within an octagonal bezel of matte 18k yellow gold. The Gold version is left unadorned, allowing the carving and material to take focus, while the Pavé Diamond version is surrounded by 1.66 carats of round brilliant-cut natural diamonds.

On the reverse, Nue’s signature hourglass motifs represent the passage of time—a recurring symbol in our work.

All our pieces are crafted by hand in our atelier in Antwerp and Dubai. In an effort to use only the resources we require we do not keep large stock levels. Your jewelry will be created from scratch once your order is placed. Please allow 3-4 weeks for us to create your piece.

Our pieces are shipped to you using fully insured carbon neutral carriers. For international shipping we use DHL Express.

We accept returns on fine jewelry for up to 30 days. Customized products cannot be returned due to their personal nature.
