A pair of stud earrings crafted in hand-brushed 18k yellow gold, each set with an original historic silver fanam. The coins are framed by a precise octagonal border and held with minimal gold prongs, allowing the centuries-old surfaces and individual strikes to remain the focus.
Each fanam is an original historic coin, individually sourced from auction houses and specialist dealers around the world. Variations in strike, surface, patina and wear are inherent to these centuries-old objects, ensuring that no two pairs will ever be exactly alike.
The coins are preserved in their original, unaltered form and set lightly within the gold frames, creating a quiet contrast between the darkened silver patina and the warmth of 18k yellow gold.
The fanams pictured are representative; each pair will be set with individually selected historic silver fanams of the same type. Subtle differences between the two coins, and from pair to pair, are part of the character and history of each piece.
We are dedicated to ethical and sustainable production and use only 18k recycled solid gold and ethically sourced natural diamonds.
All our pieces are crafted by hand in our atelier in Antwerp and Dubai. In an effort to use only the resources we require we do not keep large stock levels. Your jewelry will be created from scratch once your order is placed. Please allow 3-4 weeks for us to create your piece.
Our pieces are shipped to you using fully insured carbon neutral carriers. For international shipping we use DHL Express.
We accept returns on fine jewelry for up to 30 days. Customized products cannot be returned due to their personal nature.
